Stakeholder consultation on Country of Origin Labelling of food

This consultation paper was developed by FRSC Working Group on Country of Origin Labelling to gauge stakeholder views on preferred options for regulation of country of origin labelling of food in Australia and New Zealand.

Submitters were asked to consider specifically whether or not country of origin labelling should be mandatory or voluntary.
Consultations closed on 28 February 2003 and a summary of stakeholder responses is available (see below).
