About the consultation

We are implementing a new planning cycle to support priority setting in the food regulation system. As part of this, we developed a horizon scan to capture the current landscape.

We are seeking your thoughts on the horizon scan and the future strategic direction of the system.

The time is right for a strategic reset, and you’re invited to contribute to the conversation.

This consultation is open to everyone.

Why we are consulting

In December 2021, the food ministers endorsed implementing a new planning cycle for the food regulation system. This cycle will support priority setting that is:

  • evidence based
  • informed by stakeholders.

We (the Strategic Planning Working Group) are leading this work. This consultation will help us to get input from all stakeholders.

Outcomes

We will provide the outcomes of this consultation to food ministers in late 2022. This will help them set the future strategic directions for the system.
