Aim
Explore concerns about the implementation and enforcement of self-substantiated general level health claims under Standard 1.2.7 of the Food Standards Code.

The Food Regulation Standing Committee (FRSC) is leading this activity.
Authorisation
The FRSC, at its meeting on 22 September 2017, requested that the Implementation Subcommittee for Food Regulation provide a report on any:
- outstanding issues arising from implementing Standard 1.2.7 – Nutrition, Health and Related Claims
- related policy issues.
Status
This activity is dependent on outcomes of the Food Standards Australia New Zealand Act (FSANZ) 1991 review. Work on this project will recommence after the FSANZ Act review is further progressed.
