Description:

The Prism Institute in Canada was commissioned by the Food Regulation Standing Committee (FRSC) to recommend best practices in regulatory design and delivery. It carried out this work in 2 phases:

  1. develop a theory paper on contemporary regulatory models
  2. select a preferred mode and develop an implementation roadmap.

This final report:

  • provides more detail on the 2 phases
  • outlines the roadmap for implementation
  • demonstrates how its recommendations and roadmap help to address jurisdictional consistency.

This independent report does not represent the views of the FRSC members.
